This may not be the recommended solution but...
I have my OPII connected as an extension to a Panasonic PBX. If I want to
access it from outside I use the DISA feature which routes the call to the
OPII extension if the right number is pressed. The limitation I see is
that it can't seize the telephone line when needed but since as an
extension I am pretty sure it will gain access to either available CO
line. This may be a safety risk [if both COs are in use during an
alarm--but pretty unlikely since we are either not home or will be off the
phone once the alarm sounds] to install for a client but may be good
enough if you are doing it for yourself.
