Dear All,
My PBX system is pretty old and not from Panasonic Brand. It is the
Telenets 208E PBX system. Accessing DISA is pretty straight forward. If
I set a CO line to be DISA, then dialing into this line will be answered
by my recorded voice message which tell to press the number of desired
extension.
Larry, I have connected my OP exactly as the manual tells to (through an
RJ31X) and I have confirmed that OPII can seize the line whenever it
needs to dial out. Unfortunately, OPII can not force the PBX to receive
an off hook line, I guess it because the line no longer has the ring
pulse once it goes off hook by OP II.
Jean, my OP is not connected to a PBX extension, but to CO line via
RJ-31X. You got my problem clearly, I am trying to make OP to get the
line before the DISA message, but now I think that is impossible since
the line is already off-hook once OP takes it.
Byron, I think the Panasonic DISA is more advance with code dialing for
gaining access. Unfortunately, this Telenets can not be programmed that
way. The DISA features in this PBX is very straight forward with no code
to dial to access.
For now, I guess I have to live with the fact that if I want to access
OP, I have to dial in to a fax extension and wait until the fax gives up
the line and let the OP gets the line with the "PICK UP AFTER HANGUP"
feature, so after the PBX takes the line, not before.
If there is any other input, I also would like to know. For the answers
given so far, I'd thank you all for sharing your knowledges.
Best Regards,
W. Utomo
PS: BTW, what is really the use of Time Clock. Any idea how to use this
feature? Thx in advance
