[Hai-users] Digital Communicator

I've been searching on google to find information regarding how the
digital communicator works. What I want to know is how the communication
actually works, is it the same as pc modem, where to buy such receiving
end equipment and what software to use to be able to set up a monitoring
system.

What I got from google mostly are informations regarding monitoring
services itself, not the equipment.
