You have to change the configuration of the thermostat for the
thermostat to display Celsius and the configuration of the controller
for the consoles and touchscreens to display Celsius.
To change the configuration of the thermostat, you must adjust Item
"03". And remember, if it's connected to the controller, you likely
want to configure the thermostat to "non-programmable" (in your case you
will want to configure it to 4 or 6).
03 Display options
The thermostat can be configured to display the following attributes:
0 Celsius am/pm time format programmable
1 Fahrenheit am/pm time format
programmable
2 Celsius 24-hour time format programmable
3 Fahrenheit 24-hour time format programmable
4 Celsius am/pm time format non-programmable
5 Fahrenheit am/pm time format
non-programmable
6 Celsius 24-hour time format non-programmable
7 Fahrenheit 24-hour time format non-programmable

I had to double check my wiring a few times before it started to work
properly. Once it was hooked up correctly the temperature cycled as
expected. Is it possible to try the sensor with a short wire near the
unit to verify the sensor is working?
I have also tried to setup my RC-80 to show in Celsius. I have changed
the setting so the panel reports in C, and when I check the status over
the phone it is also in C, but the tstat still shows F. I talked to a
HAI guru and his answer was the same - you can do it, but I am not sure
how. The manual does not say, so if anyone knows how to do it - it would
be much appreciated.

I'm sure there's a way to display Celsius, but don't remember the exact
configuration. If you can't find it in the panel's and thermostat's
owners
manuals, check with HAI's tech support.
For the outside temperature, first verify the sensor's actually working,
by
viewing the status on the keypad. If the temperature shows correctly on
the
keypad, then it's working/connected properly. If it doesn't, it could
be
wired incorrectly, configured for the wrong type (Extended or not), or
the
sensor could be defective.
If the outside temperature does display correctly on the keypad, there
may
be a problem with the thermostat's communication with the panel. See if
you
can view the thermostat's status from a keypad, and also control it. If
you
can't do one, or both, there's a problem with the wiring, the panel's or
thermostat's configuration, or the thermostat. It's also remotely
possible
the panel itself could be defective, but that's the least-likely
scenario --
I'd rule out all the other possibilities, first...

I have an RC80 and would like to know how to change the displayed
temperature into Celcius instead of Fahrenheit. Also would like to know
how to display the "OUTSIDE" temperature on the thermostat. I have set
one zone to be Outdoor Temperature and name the zone OUTDOOR, but the
thermostat does not cycle the display between the outside and current as
per instruction manual.
Thanks in advance.

W. Utomo
