[Hai-users] Sent panel in for repair and now phones don't work

Tried to reply to the group but I attached screen shots which apparently pushed it over the size limit so it is awaiting moderator approval.  The basic text of what I tried to send is as follows:
I have ATT uverse and everything comes in through a router.  One output from the router is labeled dsl and a white cat 5 wire comes from there into a distribution panel.  Two wires from that cat 5 wire (light blue and dark blue) go into a block that is labeled as a dsl splitter. On the front of the splitter two wires labeled telephone come out and are connected to a Leviton distribution board labeled line in.  Right next to that is a cat 5 jack labeled security, which I think goes to the hai board.
Three other wires come out of the side of the splitter, red, green and yellow. The yellow wire is grounded to the panel. The red and green wires are then attached to blue and white wires in another cat 5 cable.  I am not sure where that goes (maybe outside) however the other wires from that same cable are wired into the Leviton distribution board labeled "from demarcation. "
If you could see the pictures from the held-up email it might make more sense.  Bottom line is I don't know what to do.

The panel should have interfaced with the incoming phone line through an RJ31X jack, which looks like an ordinary phone jack but has internal contacts to restore the downstream phone line when the panel line is unplugged from it. Regulations and good practice call for an RJ31X to allow the panel to seize the phone line in the event of an alarm, but to allow the telephone system to be restored easily in the event of a panel failure (or removal).  This is important, as you don't want a panel failure that won't allow the panel to report a fire to also prevent humans from calling 911 to report the same fire.  Bottom line, simply unplugging the Aegis panel phone seizure line from the RJ31X jack should immediately restore your downstream phones -- if it was properly installed.

 The X10 on my panel stopped working so I removed it and sent it in for repair and a firmware update.  Then I discovered that none of the phones in my house were working and all the handsets say "line in use."  I assume this is because the phone lines were running through the security panel which is now gone.
What can I do to get my phone lines working until the panel comes back?
