Subject: [Hai-users] HAI panel - IP communicator compatibility questions / suggestions

2nd attempt to post to mail list. Plese advise if there is another
procedure....

Can anyone please advise me on what they are doing to successfully
communicate from their HAI panel with both Monitoring Company and
Voice-to-end-user type phone calls... when the household has VoIP?

I see IP communicators: T-Link Universal IP Alarm Communicator TL300
and of course the HAI C3 cellular goodie.

I prefer to avoid the cell solution for now.

But the IP communicators... well. Can they and how would they
distinguish between a call to the monitoring company and the
synthesized-voice call to the end-user?  You want the first to hit the
IP communicator and be transmitted that way. But the voice call you
want to connect via the regular VoIp analog telephone adapter, just
like a regular telephone would.

Any advice appreciated.

I COULD consider the C3 option as a last resort, but I would have to
be able  similarly to direct only monitoring company calls to the DSC
C8 and allow the synthesized calls to go through the VoIp line.

My panel is (soon to be) and Omni Pro 2  (upgrading from an Amp OnQ
HMS 1050) and three expansion panels.

Also, if you have a favorite low-cost, but reliable, monitoring
company that supports this kind of activity, please advise. (I suppose
the goal is to be able to use any monitoring company...
nevertheless... recommendations on favorites appreciated.

Thanks

Andrew Ward

AWC
