[Hai-users] No Controller Data

Sometimes these are very hard to figure out.

We have a door onto our deck that has magnetic contacts to our HAI controller. Once very 100 times or so when that door is closed the keypads beep and give the no controller data error for a few seconds, then it clears itself. Other than that one door it never happens.

Probably a problem with the controller board but it's so intermittent they'd probably never be able to find and repair it.

At least our deck door stays shut in the wee hours.

Not much help, sorry, but you do have my sympathies.

Ken

Ditto to what Tony said. The 'No controller Data' is something an installer hates to see. It's basically a message indicating the controller has lost communications - perhaps with the console bus or other loose wiring or a wiring short.

Think back to when this issue started to happen, and then determine if an event (a storm, renovations, or something) may have contributed to this problem. Timing is everything. If nothing comes to mind, then it sounds like your main controller is failing.

On an OmniPro II we're getting repeated beeping from the console at odd hours. The message says "nocontrollerdata00". We cancel twice and it goes away; but, then come back the next time the unit is put in night mode (not right away, but usually in the wee hours of the morning). What is this?

No virus found in this incoming message.
