[Hai-users] Help with planning new system

Folks,

After five years in our current place, it's time to put in a home
automation system. I had a HAI Aegis installed in my previous
home. That was almost 10 years ago, and things have changed a fair
bit since, so I'm asking for advice.

I have a 2,000 sq. ft. single level (ranch style) home that has a
Brinks system installed. I'm reasonably sure the previous owner
bought the system outright, so the system belongs to me. I'm going
to replace this.

The house has a gas-fired (probably 90% efficient) furnace, and
AC. Both were put in circa '97. At some point in the next 3-5
years, I'm going to replace both with a higher efficiency model.

There's 3 motion sensors installed (dual microwave and IR), two glass
breaks, and a number of contact sensors.

I'd like to put in 3 additional security motion sensors, 6 occupancy
sensors, and 3 additional contacts. I will have three, possibly four
keypads installed. I'd also like to have the HVAC, lights, and other
electrical equipment (like a water heater) managed by the controller.

I'd appreciate some advice on what would be a good controller and
peripheral equipment to get for what I have in mind.

Thanks much!
Al
