The HMS1050 was similar to the OmniPro (not the current OmniPro II) and
chip upgrades are discontinued.wse The highest revision was 1.9. There
are 2 options:

1. Turn the board in for $150 (if working) and purchase a current
generation HAI controller or

2. purchase an OmniPro 1.9 firmware chip.

If you get the chip, you will need HAI PCAccess and (I believe) you
would have to reset and re-program the controller. Note, we are going
back in time so my memory might not be 100% but I believe you would lose
the speech features found in the HMS but not the original OmniPro (later
included in the OmniPro II). There might be a couple other differences
that I don't remember.

Subject: [Hai-users] OnQ HMS1050 Chip Upgrade

I installed a OnQ HMS1050 back in 2001 for a customer. It is working
great, but just wondering about a future upgrade chip. I see a list of
firmware upgrade kits from OnQ to HAI for the 800, 950, 950e and 1100.

Is there an upgrade chip for the 1050? What are my options?

Thanks,

Allen
