You should be able to do that, as long as you're running 3.x firmware.
Programming could be written to turn off one thermostat if the other is
cooling or heating, and vice versa...

It occurred to me that rather than having an electrician install a $3,000
load controller to reduce my on peak electricity use, maybe it was a good
idea to put the Omnipro II to a little more use. Has anyone written
programming or had any experience setting up an Omnipro II to only allow one
air conditioner to run at a time? I don't have enough experience with A/C to
see any potential pitfalls so I figured I'd ask before starting the project.
