I am with you Eric,
I just recently upgraded all my old X-10 switches (combination of several
brands) to Insteon...and love them. Yes, I can send each Insteon switch an
X-10 command...but that kind of defeats the reliability of Insteon. I have
multiple places in my house with the 6/8 Insteon keypad controlling other
circuits and the stuff just works! I keep hoping for either direct Insteon
support for the Omni's or a translator that would go right at my panel.
Kip

Subject: [Hai-users] Insteon with Omni Pro
What, if anything, is everyone doing as far as interfacing Insteon
switches/devices to an Omni Pro / Aegis? I've mostly got ALC switches here,
but I've got some switches that didn't have the low voltage line prewired so
I had to go X-10 or leave them un-automated. My X-10 works relatively well,
probably 98% of the time, but as you all know that 2% can be very annoying.
I'd like to replace some of those X-10 devices (or add more) with something
more reliable.
I've got an Omni Pro controller (actually it's an Aegis - same thing), not a
"II" series, so UPB isn't an option and I don't know if I'd go that route
even if it was.
Thanks in advance,
Eric
