All,
Has anyone gotten an OP2 to control any zwave devices yet? I have all the
parts, but am not able to control a zwave lamp module from my OP2. Here is
a description of what I have done...
First, it works fine when using the Leviton ViziaRF handheld controller, so
I know the zwave basics are correct.
I am using a ViziaRF lamp module (RZP03) and handheld controller (RZCPG) and
RS232 interface (RZC0P).
I have firmware 2.14 and PC Access 2.14. I created a new file in PC Access,
setup house codes 1-4 as zwave, named UNIT 2 as "node 2", and in
Setup/Installer/Control, on the "ViziaRF Z-Wave Node IDs" tab I set unit 2
to have a node ID of 2. All other units have a 0 for their node ID. Serial
port #2 is setup for zwave at 9600 baud and is connected to the zwave rs232
interface.
The ViziaRF lamp module is programmed as node 2 and the handheld controller
can turn it on and off using the #1 ON and #1 OFF buttons on the controller
(area 1).
There is no documentation with the RS232 interface. There is nothing in the
HAI 2.14 installation manual or release notes about configuring the RS232
interface. The ViziaRF handheld remote doc's have a SMALL section on HAI,
but refers to a ViziaRF Application Guide, which I don't have and can't find
online.
By playing around I found that by holding in the button on the RS232
interface that the light would change from blinking green to solid yellow.
I then used the handheld remote to program it into the system as a
controller. So, my RS232 interface is now node 3. I can then go to the
advanced setup screen in the handheld controller, choose HAI Setup, and see
node 3 listed. It looks like I can then associate node 3 with both the
handheld remote and node 2 (lamp module). The handheld remote seems to go
through a successful setup sequence when associating node 2 with the rs232
interface, but commands from PCAccess or an OmniTouch to control node 2
never work.
When I go back into the HAI Setup in the handheld controller, node 2 is
never CHECKED as being associated. So, maybe I am just not saving the
setup? But, there is never a SAVE option.
Ideas? Any doc's on setting up EVERYTHING in order to get an OP2 to use
ViziaRF devices?
