[Hai-users] PC Access Update

HAI announces the release of Version 2.11 of PC Access for Dealers and
PC Access for End Users.  

 

For registered users this software update is free. If you currently have
version 2.9c or later, you may download this software via the File /
Check for New Version menu option within PC Access.  If the version of
your PC Access is before version 2.9c, then the update may be obtained
from HAI's Tech Support by calling (985) 624-2606 or by sending an
e-mail to support at homeauto.com <mailto:support at homeauto.com> . If you
get your update from HAI Tech Support, you must include your serial
number in your e-mail or know the serial number when you call. 

 

It was reported on this mailing list a couple of days ago that there
were problems regarding the PC Access update feature.  Please note that
you shouldn't have any problems if you take the following steps when you
perform your upgrade: 

1.	Make sure the logged in user has permission to install updates.
The Administrator account is strongly recommended.
2.	Close all other applications!
3.	Stop anti-virus and anti-spyware applications that can interfere
with the upgrade.
4.	Make sure that there is no firewall that may restrict file
downloads based on content type that may prevent the download of
necessary files.
