[Hai-users] Omni IIe and 12A00 Wireless Receiver

As I mentioned in recent posts, I'm working on a project to replace
field units of Aegis 2000 boards with more-current HAI Omni IIe boards.
As you probably know, the Omni IIe presents some constraints, most
notably in the Zones and Units areas. But I'm working my way through that.
My question is: has anyone got a 12A00 Wireless Receiver working with an
Omni IIe. (IIe as in Ethernet unit released in January 2006. Please
don't try to
convince me these are the same as Omni II units, only with Ethernet, OK?)
The Wireless Receiver is acting oddly. The wireless pushbutton
transmitters show the
right transmitter codes on the receiver display, but don't change
anything (zone-wise) on the
Omni IIe. The wireless PIRs show as unsupervised on the receiver
display, even though I'm
sure they have new good batteries and can reach the receiver. And the
Omni IIe shows
then as NOT READY when configured as Int Away zones. (Pushbuttons are
config'd
as Aux zone types.)
I had problems trying to use the (unsupported) configuration with an
Expansion Exclosure
and reset the EEPROM to get things oriented properly, but I just can't
seem to find the
root cause on the receiver to controller issue.
Any suggestions on what to test/attempt would be appreciated. Even bad
ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.
