[Hai-users] Control Device Question

Just to be clear, and the disclaimer. The application is against UL
approval. UL does not approve this application because you could injure
someone by opening or closing a garage door without visually verifying
safety first.

You can control garage door openers simply. You will want to use a 12v
relay in line with the output. Create a button for open door and close
door; also create voices for the buttons for telephone use.

The programming is simple, when button 1(open) and door (magnetic sensor)
secure: relay 1 (connected to G.D. opener) on for 1 second.

When button 2 (close) and door not ready: relay 1 on for one second.

>From here use the buttons in your programming. For example when you arm
night run button 2, etc.

Subject: [Hai-users] Control Device Question

Hi there:

I have an Omni II question that I was hoping someone could point me in the
right direction on.

I have a garage door contact magnetic sensor connected and working with my
Omni. I would like to be able to open / close the garage door via Omni. I
ran a cable from the Omni output zone (Zone 1 or unit 65) to the garage door
open contacts (works when switch is closed) on the door opener unit. I now
need to program the omni accordingly for me to be able to control it from
the console / phone. The installer and user manual are very vague on this
and was hoping I could get some assistance.

Thanks

Buzz
