Or you could power it from one of Elks power supplies: http://www.elkproducts.com/products/elk-p112_p124.htm
This would give you longer run time for the HAI during a power outage.

Yes, you would have to add relay's to the HAI outputs to control this. The HAI output would turn on the relay, and the relay in turn would close the circuit to power the door lock.

The current draw from the lock most likely will exceed what the Omni can source from its on board supply. Consider going to a double battery setup and power the lock via a relay from the battery controlled by the HAI output.

    Hiya,

Need some help with installing (wiring) a Electric door deadbolt.

Its 12 v fail safe lock. The idea being when the alarm is set in way mode, the Deadbolt energizes and locks the closet door where the System is located, for extra protection against theft of other systems in the computer closet.

Best I can figure out is this should be controlled via the outputs on the HAI board 1-8???

But then I'm a little lost. Would also like to power the bolt from the HAI controller for extra reliability

    Any suggestions?
