[Hai-users] power loss/restoration question

This has been a big issue for us, since we lose power at least monthly and
sometimes for a day or more at a time. Normally when it happens our
monitoring company calls us and reports a power outage. They will not call
the cops for an outage though. Did your monitoring company tell you exactly
what code they received? This information was very helpful for us. The log
should also record this information. Before, during, and after the outage.
We had a problem with some stair stress sensors that have their own
processor. When the AC power went off and then came back on the processor
board would take 30 seconds to boot up and start operating. During those 30
seconds the HAI panel would see the sensors as being in an alarm state and
generate an alarm. I changed the program to bypass those sensors when the AC
power goes out, and reenable them one minute after the AC power is restored.
