Interesting. I wasn't aware of the new extended range sensors. Too bad it
wasn't extended the other way as well. I have a need to monitor temperatures
above 120F (hydronic heating system).
Any thoughts on how to monitor temperatures in the 150-190 range using the
omni only? I suspect I'll have to hookup an Ocelot and have it send messages
to the Omni. I would suspect this could be done on the board itself with a
new zone type to interpret the frequency at an offset but the device would
need to offset its frequency as well. I have the circuit board for a water
sensor, I wonder if it can be easily modified to offset the frequency or
perhaps an offset can easily be applied to the output signal then I can just
interpret the temperature with an offset, say +100F. I guess I need to learn
a little more about circuit design...

Brent, it appears you have installed the new extended range temperature
sensors. but the Omni board is not aware of that.
You need to: (#1) make sure that you have the 2.8 firmware on the Omni, (#2)
Assign the temperature zones to the ER (extended range) type, (#3) Make sure
you have the 2.8 access software if you want to be able to see the zone
through PC access.
HAI temperature sensors are generally quite accurate, but the humidity
sensors have some real issues and can misread by 30% or more on humidity.
Check yours out if you can borrow a sling psychrometer or other humidity
gauge. Hopefully this issue has been corrected on the newer ER units.
