Weber, it is 1 b [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Weber](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Weber) but not just athletics although he put in place all the important people and the hires afterwards even the popular Jim Philips have been questionable. As for academics and financial the turnaround started with him. We started NU in 1989 pretty much as Northwestern's rankings nadir (hopefully admitting us wasn't the cause in the ranking drop) and even though he wasn't popular among students with things like the Marriott fka saga food contract and the lack Pepsi contract he put us on the path to the future. Bienen lucked into the Rose Bowl and Princess Di. Morty was popular with students but made some many missteps and poor hires.
