What a game, what a great playoff run. Incredible performances, and KAH once again shows
an ability to adapt and change (see trib article about offensive retool and rest periods
for TT).

Shannon Smith comes up huge again,  and Thornton will surely take home the "Heisman" she
clearly deserves.

Fyi, normally 3 refs, not 2. Go cats!

Once again, the other guys got frustrated with NU's slowdown game with the lead.

It led to the goal that put them 2 up, and it led to them not getting a shot on goal at
the end. It also led to a yellow card on the bench and their top scorer sitting down when
they needed the firepower.

I wonder if having 4 refs during the championships, when they only have 2 during the
season, leads to more fouls called, and more frustration from the girls, since they "get
away" with stuff with only 2 refs. Would be worth a study.

Also, I expect the women's game to have a stall rule within two or three seasons - that’s
all you hear from the former head coaches who 1. Can't beat NU and 2. Now practice
broadcasting as expert commentators. I'm biased, but you can hear some of the envy in
their voices as they talk about NU and how we can totally control the tempo of a game.

Anyway, we now turn our quest for field glory over to the other Fitz. Go Cats!
