At least we've beaten Syracuse, altho it was in overtime. 

To Florida fans, they'll now be able to complain that NU didn't have to face THEM to win
the title, but beating anyone twice in a season seems to be difficult in Lacrosse.

I really think we beat Maryland at the end of the game because they lost their focus,
including the coaches. In one of his notes during the game, Paul noted that the refs
seemed to be overly critical of play at times, and it seemed that at the end of the game,
frustration with the calls spilled over to cost the Terps players when they really needed
a full team on the field.

It seemed to me that there were a lot of calls on plays that probably didn't merit a
whistle, and more than one time players seemed to just fall down without notice of the
refs. I did notice that there were 4 of them out there, isn't that 2 more than normal?

At least the final is on TV, altho the ESPN3 picture last night on my computer was the
best I've ever seen.

The Syracuse game was wildly entertaining to watch. Although Florida would have been the
ultimate challenge, I'm a bit glad to see them out of the way. Syracuse has big time
offense, but I at least feel like the Cats can score against them.
