[NU Sports] Phillips eyeing Chicago venues, Yankee Stadium and 7-win requirement

Couple of interesting points.

Fitz supports bowls for six win teams. Phillips does not because he is
concerned about the risk of unsold tickets that NU has to bear. The
inference is that requiring seven wins would reduce the number of bowls
NU qualifies for and fewer bowls would improve ticket sales. But it
seems to me that ticket fatigue is a function of the number of
consecutive bowl games you are invited to and not the number of wins
required to qualify for a bowl game. And doesn't it seem odd that
Phillips would suggest that making the bar one game higher would reduce
the number of bowl games NU would qualify for. He certainly wouldn't
say that if he were the AD at Michigan.

The other interesting tidbit was that there might be a board vote on
upgrading athletic facilities in June. Does anyone have a list of what
those upgrades might be?

Jeff
