Internships are good for athletes because it can give them alternatives to pro ball, but
even more important, the player is around campus during that internship summer - I'd bet
most are right before their final year of eligibility altho someone who knows for sure
will have the right info.

The thing that caught my eye about this article was the bit about Fitz requiring all
players to do an internship with an NU alum. Just wondering how that's legal according to
NCAA rules. Is it because as an "internship", as opposed to a job, it's not paid?

get well over a 4.0 average, depending upon how many AP classes have been taken. One of my
sons had a 4.3 average in high school, yet he was rejected by NU. No enough
extra-curricular activities for NU, I guess. We were all quite disappointed at the time,
but he went to UCLA, and he has greatly enjoyed his time there.
