Or is that in the AD's office?

I'm hoping it isn't what it looks like, the AD conducting a quasi-search
to see who might be interested before deciding whether or not to fire 
the current coach.

Either the coach needs to be fired, and then you go through the process
of finding a new coach, painful and expensive as it might be, or the 
coach doesn't need to be fired.
