I just asked a question.

I suspect that if we pursue this discussion much further it will become
more political than athletic.

But in an attempt to keep it vaguely in the athletic realm, as I recall
you are pretty much a results-oriented guy who likes to assign grades
based on outcomes. 

What grade would you give a system that produces these sorts of results?

<This isn't an indictment of universities or athletics in particular,

rather a question of how we as a diverse society can expect to prosper
when 
we are failing to prepare our minority kids for the most <reliable path

good job - a college degree.

And this is entirely the fault of the American education system?
