[NU Sports] Stanford football series

Great news - it just makes perfect sense. 

Now if the B(C)S morons would only follow the same logic of doing what makes sense for college football.

We've had a lot of NU games on the east coast recently with Army, Navy, BC, etc. Looks like the Cats are coming west more in the future with Cal and Stanford. Not exactly as close as that ASU game a few years back or a game in Tucson/Vegas, but I'll take it.

PS - Only day one, but the Big Ten teams are shooting the lights out in the tourney so far (not faring too badly in the NIT either) ... hopefully that helps our case in retrospect (and the fascination with getting 9-10 teams out of the Big East fades) for future years of NU/NCAA bubble watching.

NU announced a home and home with Stanford for 2015 and 2016 in advance of the previously scheduled four game series starting in 2019. I guess this two game set is a result of the scheduling deal between B1G and the PAC-12.
