No one really answered Dennis's question, but it's the simple answer: the Pac-12 sucked this year. Like, really sucked. Plus, Washington "won" the regular season primarily because of an uneven conference schedule. Cal beat them in their only matchup and was far more deserving of any at-large bid the Pac-12 might receive.

In other news, given that we weren't really close in the committee's eyes, I am a little peeved at Jerry Palm for keeping us in his predicted bracket right to the end, fueling my stupid false hopes. Maybe he just wanted to make sure we watched the show?

How is it possible that Washington could win their conference regular season championship and NOT make the NCAA tournament?  How could the once vaunted PAC-8/10/12/whatever only get one team (California) in the Dance, and they're only in the First Four?
