[NU Sports] Bubble?

Cats host Akron, Tue., 9p on ESPN2.  NU is a 4th seed and Akron a 5th seed.

The winner plays the winner of Washington vs UT-Arlington.  Washington, a regular season conf. champ, is a #1 seed and UTA is a #8.

Seton Hall, which plays Stony Brook, is among the other #1 seeds, along with Arizona and Tennessee.  

The other Big Ten teams in the NIT are Minnesota (a #3), which plays LaSalle, and Iowa (a #7), which plays Dayton.  Illinois did not get a bid.

An embarrassing #4 seed for the Cats in the NIT.

Surprisingly, almost all of the other teams that were allegedly on the bubble
(Washington, Seton Hall, Ole Miss)) got #1 or #2 seeds.  Makes one wonder if the
Cats were really that close at all.
