As in other years (but especially this year), NU is a much better team than many of those minor conference AQ teams. So if we get a bid, we accept it with pleasure.

Someone mentioned in a tweet yesterday that you cannot decline a tourney
bid because it is run by the NCAA (this goes for the NIT now as well, the
tweet was in reference to Illinois going to the NIT).

I think many want NU to finally get in when they've really earned it, not
just when the field has been expanded and there is a really bad bubble.
