[NU Sports] It is also hard to win...

I agree.

Tough road game in the best of circumstances. When you have to play
with such a short bench, the second half began to resemble Gunga Din.

If there is any good news to take from it, it is that most on this list
with season projections probably had this Wisky road game as a loss
anyway.

There was some good news.

Our starting 5 in the first half with Curletti playing center was able
to contain Wisky and execute our offense well enough to build a little
lead. Also Nick Fruendt seemed to be able to hold his own defensively
while on the floor.

The next big game on the schedule from a W-L perspective is our road
game at Minny on Sunday. This is the next "must win" on the list.

On another note, UNL got a big win over Indiana yesterday. Just another
example of how difficult it is to win on the road in this league. Lots
of fun to watch the last couple of minutes.

Jeff

It certainly doesn't help that NU's bench was reduced to 2 scholarship
players last night, one of which (Mirkovic) has seen his playing time
slashed given his general ineffectiveness as of late. The 2 walk-ons
who
were available played 17 minutes.

Wisconsin is known to be reliant on the 3 to score, and NU basically had
to
go to the 1-3-1 with the status of their overall health, and that opened
up
a ton of open looks from 3; that's why they won.

Hopefully NU can get healthy soon and get some more offensive
contributions
outside of the top 2 guys.
