I was really surprised to see the black unis, not just because they were black instead of purple but because you have to get a special waiver from the NCAA to wear anything other than white (or gold, yellow or other pale color that the NCAA has approved as your standard home uni).  I don't know how much trouble it is to get the waiver but I doubt that Izzo will agree to wear white on the road any time soon.
