If the team that played yesterday shows up in Champaign and Ann Arbor, those two
hould be
ins.
Well, NU LOST in Ann Arbor last week so it will have to be the team that shows up in Evanston against UM ;-)
Seriously, this doesn't look like a vintage Wisky team, narrowly beat Nebraska yesterday in Mad town, so NU could steal a W this Wednesday. Winning in Iowa City will be tough though, so I'd pencil in a L there. I think PSU in State Penn is a toss-up and could be another L given the hex the Lions seem to hold over the Cats from the DeChellis years.

They might get a couple games into the Big 10 tourney also, but as I said, the
eam that
layed yesterday afternoon has to return to action the rest of the season.

With the wonderful win at home over MSU, we are currently 12-5 and back on
chedule for a
0 win season. As others have pointed out this includes more road wins that
e've had in
ecent memory. I do have us losing at home against UM. At this point that
ooks more
ike a win, so perhaps we can sustain one more road loss (you pick) and still
et 20 wins
y beating UM in Evanston. That should be enough to get our invite to the
ance.

As far as yesterday's game is concerned, IMHO it was all about the effective
lay of
urletti. As bad as Luka played against Michigan, that's how good Curletti was
gainst
SU. Barring injury I don't think that we're going to see much of Luka for a
hile. It
as also great to the whole team finish. Look forward to seeing this dangerous
eam take
his new found aggressiveness on the road.

Such poetry to enliven our basketball musings or, perhaps, travails.
I shall now return to Kafka. (Not Mike.)
Oh, wait. It's SoCal and 72 degrees in January. Hope springs eternal here in
id-winter
nd Davide Curletti is the answer. Maybe.

Without follow-up this win is simply one of those occasional but false
