Brad's right ... we need another signature win or two to solidify our case.

On the plus side, with Indiana's resurgence and strong non conference wins over Duke, Kentucky and others by the league, the Big Ten is clearly looked on as the best in the land this year ... so if we're close, we'll get the benefit of the doubt.

Still, gotta get a couple more big wins -- preferably one on the road -- to take it out of the committee's hands.

... But beating MSU only means something if it is followed up with a road win or 2 to make up for the Illini debacle. 

Without follow-up this win is simply one of those occasional but false beacons of hope that flare up from McGaw Hall every now and then that tease us with their sparks but die out meaninglessly in cold, gloomy ashes.
