... still think NFL games are dull? What more could you ask for this weekend?

Yeah, the Pats blowout was ugly - but there were some amazing plays that first half.

And my Saints went down in defeat, but the final four minutes in Candlestick were absolutely crazy.

For the defensive folks, you saw some terrific D with the Ravens today.

And now you have a wild upset brewing in Lambeau with one of the worst replay calls in history that reeked of home field cooking and a wacky hail mary to end the half.

I still think the Pack will come back, but it's why the divisional round has replaced January 1 as the best day of football on the calendar each year. Even in a pretty darn good Bowl Day like this year with MSU's rally, the crazy Rose Bowl and OT in the Fiesta, it's still not close because these games have so much more meaning.

The only thing missing was snow ... and given the late games in Foxboro and Lambeau, there should have been flakes! Darned global warming ...

The hoops game yesterday was nice, but it didn't help soften the bummer end for New Orleans :( ... I'm sort of glad Harbaugh didn't go to Michigan now, because I grew up a Maize and Blue fan and I don't think I could take his cocky grin every year ... I think the more I see of him, the more I'm with Jim Schwartz on that postgame confrontation from earlier this year.
