[NU Sports] I waited a day to be a downer...

Brad,

My advice is to enjoy the ride and worry less about the final destination. I was at the game, and had a really, really great time enjoying the game with some good friends.

This team is highly unlikely to win the national championship. If they do make the dance, they are almost guaranteed to end the season with a loss.

So, I'm going to enjoy all the sweet moments.

... But beating MSU only means something if it is followed up with a road win or 2 to make up for the Illini debacle.

Without follow-up this win is simply one of those occasional but false beacons of hope that flare up from McGaw Hall every now and then that tease us with their sparks but die out meaninglessly in cold, gloomy ashes.
