Since when can't "most" kickers hit a 35-40 yard kick? Though it's not a 
gimme, any D1 kicker should make that more often than not. I think that 
most should hit the 42-43 yard kick that they get with an immediate try 
from the 25. I think college should push it back to the 30 or 35 and the 
pros, if they were to adopt the college-style OT, should definitely go 
from 35-40. There are guys like Bironas who, if they're indoors, won't 
hesitate to try a 55 yarder, and will even do it outside a lot of the time.
