No, Oregon State went to the Rose Bowl in 1942 (when it was actually moved to Durham, NC because it was considered to be too soon after Pearl Harbor to have large crowds gather on the west coast) and then again in 1957 - both times as champion of what was then called the Pacific Coast Conference. - Jim
