Could be true if the unnamed source knows what they are talking about.
I would prefer to wait a little bit and see what happens.
The impression I got from the Fitz quotes was that he was not happy.
He, just like us, could see where we were consistently getting beat and
didn't like it.
He said it was not a talent deficit.
He felt that there wasn't enough competition at some of the positions.
The implication is that some players were unable to push themselves to
be the best at their position.
He also said that the coaching staff would take responsibility for the
weak fundamentals that we saw on the field.
As a player that message is pretty clear. Everybody is going to have to
earn their 2012 starting jobs.
I would hope that philosophy also applies to the coaching staff.
It certainly seemed that this team just struggled all season to find
themselves. They did play an outstanding game at Nebraska, but just got
run over by MSU. The bowl game was frustrating because they just could
never seem to overcome their own mistakes and take control of a game
that seemed theirs for the taking.

I certainly don't agree with it, but looks like Fitz will maintain NU's
loyalty to its assistants, even with diminishing results on the field
and a
questionable talent level (particularly on D). I was hoping at least
one
or two changes could help shake things up; instead, at least another
year
of the status quo.
