Per Phil Steele 2011 College Football Preview Stats, we were 7 point underdogs for the 2003 Motor City Bowl. It was the Golden Era for the MAC as wins were common against BCS foes; BGSU was ranked 21st at season end. I remember, some guy named Ben Rosenheimer or something like that QB'd for Miami (Oh.) .
We were 2 point 'dogs for The Sun Bowl; for some reason I thought it was more. These 2 games, the Rose and Outback are the ones that got away.
I have a lot to say about the atm loss; will comment when I have more time (i.e.-slow typer) . It was nice out the basketball team took State Penn out in the 2nd half last night. Talk about depressing if we lose that game as well as the Bowl game. The Illinois game is a big one.
GO CATS!! Eric

I thought we were favored against Bowling Green in the 2003 Motor City Bowl.

We SHOULD have won the Rose Bowl.
Wasn't Keyshawn Johnson later ruled to have been ineligible?
