"For example, in the schools weight room for athletes, a refrigerator filled with sports
drinks has a sign on the door explaining that because the drinks were bought with football
and basketball revenue, the drinks are restricted to those teams. Any lacrosse player who
takes a drink could have to forfeit their weight room privileges.
There's the quote for those who didn't read the story....
Funny that the Athletic Dept doesn't provide drinks for all of the athletes in the weight
room or that the Lacrosse boosters don't have a piece of that action.
Given how vocal most of our athletes seem to be about things, you wonder if it is even an
issue among the athletes.

>Frankly, the note that bothered me in the story was that the women's players weren't
allowed drinks in the weight room. Hello?
Yeah, that was a little odd. I suppose they do have to make some extreme efforts to keep
all the budgets properly sorted out, but that bit doesn't sound good.
