Thanks to Willie W and my old work with Scout, I still get the National Football
Foundation press releases, and I am really wondering why more NU Wildcats don't get
nominated, much less win, some of these academic awards.

Does NU not submit kids? Are they afraid of not being "fair?" - since we have such high
academic requirements?

I see the info on the winners, and think back to guys like Luis Castillo who graduated
with a degree in Economics, a rather difficult subject at NU, yet he was not mentioned
anywhere.

You know there have to be a couple of guys on the Football team every year with great
academics. I look at the past winners' list and know we've had starters who played at the
top of the game who could have sat with the finalists.
