[NU Sports] Doncha Lovit?

Do the guys who want to play for Duke or other super programs turn them down to come to
NU? With our "screwey" offense and 1-3-1 defense (where everyone else plays Man?)

It takes a certain mindset to come to NU and play roundball - you have to be somewhat
convinced that the NBA isn't in your future, but you can compete at the highest level and
(eventually) be an NCAA team every year.

No reason why we can't recruit like that - and BC's assistants are definitely bringing the
right kids to Evanston to talk to the coach.

Yeah, but don't forget about Holy Cross, American, and Drake.  ;)  No, he's not an
All-American, but neither are any of our other recruits.  I don't know how excited to get
about him either, but I did hear him mentioned on the news the other night, referred to as
"playing at Northwestern next year," amid highlights of him leading Benilde to a win.  He
seems like a good kid, and maybe he'll be another Shurna or Crawford.  -Joe
