[NU Sports] Sun-Times mixes up its NU heartbreakers

The Ill-whiny fans who commented were not happy with the loss or Weber.


In the trib article, Weber questioned his teams intensity, particularly
on defense.

I thought Weber's comment about the long minutes played by his starters
was interesting.  He held his younger players out because he wasn't sure
they would be effective defending NU's complicated offense.  As a
result, I think our guys were able to wear down their starters
(particularly Leonard).  We just seemed to have more energy at the end
than they did.

Hearn said the Wildcats wanted to get back at the Illini, who won 57-56
at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Jan. 4. That was a winnable game for NU, which
had come from behind. But Shurna missed a three-point shot at the
buzzer.
