I think that worked better for him at Miami of Ohio than it did at Northwestern.
How many 4 and 5 star recruits did he bring to Evanston that way?

I do agree that a handshake with the head coach MIGHT make a kid more likely to stick 
with his decision, but the NCAA's recruiting calendar doesn't always make that possible.
Would I prefer it if a recruit gave the media his decision during a 'quiet period' rather than
wait for the next opportunity for a face-to-face contact with the head coach?  Yup!
