It was probably the biggest crowd I've seen for an NU spring game...the efforts to make it a better experience continue to pay off. Best moment was Carter's INT and the ensuing mass celebration by the entire D squad.
More later.

We didn't have 1,000's of fans.:-). More like rabid 100's. But Fitz did make pitch over Public Address before game for each fan "to bring 2 friends" in the Fall, so NU can have true home-field advantage.
So, gang, who is considering traveling to 'Cuse for opening game on Sept. 1st? My wife may file for divorce--or claim abandonment--if I leave her for a second consecutive Labor Day weekend for a 'Cat game (after trip to BC last September), but I am certainly thinking about visiting site of my daughter's Graduation.:-)

Nebraska had to postpone its spring game due to weather issues, there
was a thunderstorm in Lincoln just ahead of game time and more severe
storms are expected later this afternoon.
Tom Osborne, the Nebraska AD, told the fans in attendance that the
concession stands would be free, since otherwise they'd have to
throw the food out anyway. The concessionaires can't be happy
about that.
There's a possibility the game might be rescheduled for tomorrow, but
there are a number of logistical issues to clear up and it may require
approval from the NCAA, too. Thousands of fans come in from out of
town for the Red-White game, most of them will probably go home
disappointed.
Purdue and Indiana both moved their spring scrimmages indoors, also
due to weather issues.
