Dick Stolley (BSJ,1952, MSJ,1953) launched and ran People for its first eight years -- the most successful magazine in publishing history. And that's just one of his many achievements during an incredible 57-year career with Time Inc.
He also edited the monthly Life magazine, covered the South's stormy civil rights movement, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, student riots in Paris, interviewed President Lyndon Johnson, Prince Rainier of Monaco (after Grace Kelly's death) and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, among others.
Now, you have an opportunity to ask questions and hear him discuss his remarkable six decades in journalism, during a special event co-sponsored by Time Inc. and the Medill Club of N.Y. You'll also see a new documentary in which he reveals how he got the Zapruder film of the assassination for Life, one of the 20th century's greatest journalistic scoops.
We expect an unusually large turnout for this exciting event, so reserve your spot now. Here's what you need to know:

This year the event will be held at a new venue, Toro Lounge at Plein Sud, adjacent to the Smyth Hotel in the heart of Tribeca. Proceeds benefit the NU Club of Greater New York Scholarship fund which provides financial support for current Northwestern students from the greater New York area. Join the NU Club for their marquee event. Last year, they had nearly 100 attendees at this event.
