[NU Sports] More on OU

The TV contracts for all leagues except the Big East have just be
renegotiated and are locked in for the next 5-7 years. They are subject to
being reopened if the league loses members or gains a significant new
market, which is why the SEC is interested in TAMU and also why despite the
alleged removal of the same state limitation from existing members, it is
most likely that the eastern invitee would come from somewhere that is not
currently a market.

The Pac-12 already has a network in place; in fact it has seven of them.
One conference wide and six regional ones. Of course that scenario would
let the 4 Big 12 schools use the Longhorn network as the Southwest
regional net but only if Texas gave it up to the league. Could happen but
Pac-12 would probably have to give them a break on the money.
Alternatively, the Big 12 could grab BYU with its network and get back to 10
or bring in BYU, SMU and Houston to get to 12. See, isn't this fun.
