... if that on the first day ever we have six Big Ten league games, more points are scored in one game than in the other five combined? We won't because of the Michigan game, but still, it's a tough day to be a quarterback in the league.

Ugly, defensive, classic, retro ... whatever you call it, points are at a premium today in all places not named Bloomington.

And say what you want about NU's special uniforms last week (I liked them, for the record), they are a heck of a lot better than OSU's.

Some possible upsets brewing in the Big XII Computer Sham as well -- you get the feeling that Boise State may become the Mitt Romney of the B(C)S ... the system will keep tweaking it to find ANYONE but Boise State to place in the title game, and since Oklahoma didn't drop far last week (despite their loss being at home to a 2-loss team and Wisky being on the road on the last play to a 1-loss team), I wouldn't be surprised if the Sooners are still the team in New Orleans facing the Bama/LSU winner.
