Well put, Stephen. Better for us that Huskers win today, so that they don't come into next week angry. Rather have them looking past us.

... and probably use it to say the league is weak again and feed into the bogus B(C)S hype machine ...

... but those of us in Big Ten land are not surprised with UNL's 21-point lead over Sparty heading into the fourth.

This league is deep and this league is all about home field.

UNL and Wisky should be top 10 teams. They have better wins and better losses than any other one-loss school.

And on the plus side for NU, it looks like our best hope to get to six wins is Sparty (I never really saw us winning in Lincoln) -- so we need the Huskers and Hogeyes to beat the hope out of Sparty so that by the time Thanksgiving comes around, they have nothing to play for but a Texas bowl game, and we have it all on the line at home for senior day. We owe MSU one or two after the last few years.

But one game at a time - if we come out with this focus, we will win the gottawins with Minny and Rice and have a chance for an upset elsewhere. But only if the O goes all-out for 60 minutes. Remember, you only need the O to spell BOWL - not the D. :)

Another TD ... GO CATS!!!
