Jim,
Thanks for the kind words. And back to you on the "main enjoyment" front.
After the BC game, I hung my NAA "GO 'CATS" sign in my office--above the plaque with my bar admission. and yesterday I looked at it--very forlornly. I am now "NUMB" from these back-to-back-to back-to back-to back defeats--all of which we were in and were winnable. I think of guys like Ebert, Persa, Browne, Mabin and McNaul, and how much it must sting to see their senior year--which began with so much hope and expectation--circling down the drain.
Maybe we make a stand against Indiana, and get off the schneid and gain some traction for the remaining games. As long as we are not eliminated from bowl eligibility, this fan will cling to hope, however scant.

The subject line here makes me think of a quarterback controversy we had in 1966 at NU. Some folks wanted to stick with Dennis Booth at QB, while others wanted to switch to Bill Melzer.
Hey, anything to divert my attention from this sad season. My main enjoyment of 2011 was spending time with Paul Levinson at the BC and Army games. Of course, once we lost that Army game, everything has gone downhill.
Jim B.
